John owns and operates JS Conservation Management & Town Planning and has 15 years experience in Town Planning and Historic Building Conservation. From a predominantly local government background, John has a wealth of knowledge in all areas of development management, planning policy and historic building conservation. John has a particular interest in industrial buildings, preventative maintenance, heritage at risk, ecclesiastical buildings, railway infrastructure and public houses. John has been involved with all stages of the Local Plan process, neighbourhood planning; the processing of planning applications and giving advice as part of the development management process. John has written a number of Conservation Management Plans to support Heritage Lottery grant bids; Conservation Area reviews and statements; options appraisals; Building Recording; Local Listed Building Reviews, Conservation Area assessment and review; Heritage at Risk Assessments; and Statements of Significance.
