Richmond Athletic Association Grandstand, Old Deer Park Richmond – Statement of Significance
Grandstands are not a building type which is commonly researched or understood as to their significance from a heritage perspective. This study sought to understand the significance of the grandstand at the Richmond Athletic Association Ground, which was constructed in 1958 and is the first canter levered grandstand in Britain to utilise thin shell concrete of a steel frame for its construction.
Richmond Public Baths (Pools on the Park), Richmond – Statement of Significance
The Richmond Public Baths is one of the rare Grade II listed post-war buildings, which required historic research to support a statement of significance for the building and also a capacity for change assessment which will help to identify ways in which the building can better serve the population into the future without compromising the significance and historic fabric of the building.
Bretby Art Pottery Showroom, Swadlincote – Heritage at Risk Study & Statement of Significance
On behalf of the Heritage Trust and to support a grant funding bid, a study was undertaken into the history of the showroom of this Grade II listed pottery showroom to document its significance by assessing the evidential, historic, aesthetic and communal value in accordance with Historic England’s Conservation Guidance and Principles. This can then be used to support funding bids and further grant funding.
Parish Church of St. Peter, Yoxall – Statement of Significance and historical research
The Parish Church of St. Peter is a Grade II* listed building in Yoxall, Staffordshire.
This project involved the researching and gathering of primary evidence in order to document the history and evolution of the church building. This was then used in order to develop a Statement of Significance in order to assist with future funding opportunities and assist with developing a management plan for the future conservation of the church fabric.
Statements of significance and historic research have also been undertaken as part of the production of Conservation Management Plans and Options appraisals such as:-
